Red Cross Blood Drive - Saturday, 15 March

Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. Blood is essential to help patients survive surgeries, cancer treatment, chronic illnesses, and traumatic injuries. The need for blood is constant. But only about 3% of age-eligible people donate blood yearly. You can help the American Red Cross make sure that supply meets demand. -- Appointments are still available! --

Blacknall-Chess Post 4639 was chartered on November 16th, 1945 by returning Veterans of World War II.  Our common bond is the battlefield, whether it is service in the Persian Gulf, Korea, Kosovo, the war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.  We hope you find what you need on this website and invite you to contact us if needed.

- Due to the inclement weather, we are cancelling the Post dinner for Friday, 21 February.  The parking lot isn't fully clear, and the melt / runoff is beginning to refreeze.  Please joint us next Friday for our regularly scheduled activities.

- The VFW Department of Virginia Raffle 2024 Calendar drawing has come to a close.  Results for 2024 can be found here.  Stay tuned for the 2025 raffle drawing information to be posted here when available.
